the last day in england

Betreff: world travel!

Alright,my friends-here finally my goodbye-mail:
I am leaving in a few hours: off to India first.
Sorry, I haven’t been very good with my emails recently, but the preparations took all my attention recently…
in the last 2 weeks I went to Germany to drop my stuff off at the neighbour’s house, I also went for a short trip with my boyfriend and inbetween all these little things:shopping for travel stuff, soordinating with Inga…well, I don’t want to bore you with that.By the end of July I moved out ofmy flat and left my lovely flatmates to bother my boyfriend for the last 2 weeks-unfortunately his phone wasn’t working, such a pity as I wanted to say goodby to everyone-so I ended up using phone cards in the phone booth surrounded by spiders and drunken idiots-I don’t want to mention the ambulance (sirene-very loud!!!) passing on a regular base (“sorry, what did you say…hold on amblulance….and ambulance…)
And of course ther is another Anja-story(no, the phone was only besides)- my life has been way too normal for quite a while:

So, yesterday I thought I could slow down a bit, a bit of shopping (the very last things), hairdresser appointment and then packing nice and quietly…
well, the hairdresser appoinment went smoothy (apart fromhim telling me I am using the wrong colour-it makes me pale!I tried to explain that I AM pale…)until I had to pay and that lovely lady decided to break my credit card almost in a half-how convenient is that one day before you go travelling for a year!!!!!!
So, I ordered a new one which will go to a friend’s house and then has to be sent to Australia-great. i then decided to transfer money to my German account to use my German credit card (I only spent the whole morning on that as english banks like tomake things comp-licated…)
Well, upset about my credit card I went to my boyfriends house to pack-and discovered at the front door that I couldn’t find the house keys (how convenient is that being under pressure and upset anyways!!!)As he wouldn’t have come back within the next 2 hours I decided to break into the house-no matter what!
Well the window in the back (first floor) was open…John has a very fragile little mini-shed in the garden-I could climb that and even found a ladder in the front garden.(HOORAY)
So: Anja on a fragile shed on a ladder holding on to the rain pipe (I already saw myself falling with the rainpipe like in the films)…
well,i made it (!)–just my jeans (the only ones that look good on me) didn’t make it. I left the house with jeans on and entered the house with a jeans skirt again (how inconvenient is that, but anyways)
Well, after all that excitement I decided to have a bath before anything else-so when John came home he said:”You look a bit bored in there
I mean: BORED?????
So, that was my last day in england- I think that was very Anja-like ( i can’t wait to get to the airport today…(-;
My bag is now packed and I am sure way to heavy, but to be honest , I couldn’t care less.
So, I hope you are all well, i hope to stay intouch and will try to keep you up to date
big hugs to all of you!
Anja
P.S.I am off, yeah yeah-lalala
